Just in Case
The things you'd want someone to know — kept private until they need it.
Everyone carries information nobody else has. Just in Case is where you write it down once, choose who it's for, and choose when they can open it.
What are we leaving notes on, just in case?
Document details & where they are
What the paperwork is, where it's kept and who should be handed it. No uploads — Tell Perry doesn't collect the documents themselves.
Accounts & password guidance
How someone can reach what they need, in your own words.
Property & belongings
The house, the car, the storage unit, the things that matter.
Wishes & instructions
What you'd want done, and what you'd rather nobody guess at.
Family & pet care
Routines, vets, schools, the details only you carry.
Business instructions
Who to call, what must keep running, what can stop.
Personal messages
Something you want a specific person to read.
Other — anything else
Your own topic, in your own words. There's always an Other.
When should each person be able to open it?
Every note carries its own recipients and its own release situation. One note can go to your sister now and another stays sealed for years.
Now
They can open it as soon as you save it.
On a specific date
Sealed until the date you pick.
If I'm hospitalized or can't communicate
Held until that situation is reviewed and confirmed.
If I'm detained or incarcerated
Held until that situation is reviewed and confirmed.
Upon death
Held until reported and reviewed — never on a claim alone.
Other circumstance
Describe the situation in your own words.
Your information. Your choices.
- Nothing you write here is published or shared until you choose to share it.
- Adding someone to your Circle doesn't give them access on its own.
- You choose, note by note, who can see what.
- You can remove access at any time, and access can be set to expire.
- The app is designed so Circle members don't see other Circle members or what they can open.
- What someone can access depends on the information you add, the permissions you select and the features you use.
Tell Perry helps you organize and share your own information. It does not collect or store your actual documents — you record what they are, where they're kept and who should know. A Just in Case note is not legal advice and does not by itself create a will, a power of attorney, a trust, or any other legal instrument. For those, talk to a licensed professional. Features, privacy practices and available controls may change over time; the current privacy notice explains how things work today.
